Visa Requirements: Many travellers visiting Iceland need a Schengen visa, as Iceland is part of the Schengen Area. Visa requirements vary by nationality — please check the latest entry requirements and ensure any necessary visa is obtained well before your tour starts.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is required for this tour and must cover your entire journey in Iceland. Your Tour Leader will ask for your insurance details on Day 1.
Included Costs: Meals include most breakfasts; many lunches, dinners, entrance fees and optional activities are not included unless specifically stated in the itinerary. Transportation by coach and scheduled sightseeing transfers are included as outlined.
Itinerary Highlights & Logistics: Travel is by comfortable, air-conditioned coach with expert local guides. Some days involve long scenic drives between natural attractions — built into the itinerary to maximise your time at each highlight.
Optional Activities: Optional experiences may include glacier walks, whale watching, glacier lagoon boat trips, snowmobile tours, geothermal spa visits and northern lights excursions (seasonal). These activities are available at extra cost, may require advance booking, and can be seasonal depending on weather and daylight.
Seasonal & Climate Notes: Iceland’s weather is highly changeable year-round; even in summer temperatures can be cool and windchill is common. If travelling in winter, daylight hours are short and cold conditions prevail with snow and ice possible. Pack layers for varying temperatures, waterproof outerwear and sturdy footwear for outdoor terrain.
Packing: Pack warm, layered clothing that can adapt to rapid weather changes, waterproof jackets and pants, thermal underlayers for colder months, and comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots with good grip. Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) is recommended for glacier reflections. For optional water-based excursions, bring appropriate quick-dry layers and waterproof protection.
Solo Travellers: Solo travellers can choose to upgrade to a private room or share accommodation with a fellow traveller of the same gender at no additional cost (subject to availability).
