Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is required for this tour and must cover your entire journey through Turkey. Your Tour Leader will ask for your insurance details on Day 1.
Included Costs: Meals include most breakfasts and several dinners as specified in the itinerary; many lunches, entrance fees and optional activities are not included unless specifically stated. Transportation by air-conditioned coach and included sightseeing transfers are covered as outlined.
ANZAC Day Commemoration & Gallipoli Experience: A central highlight of this tour is attending the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Gallipoli, a deeply moving and respectful experience. The itinerary includes dedicated time on the Gallipoli Peninsula, allowing for meaningful exploration of key battlefields and memorial sites. Early starts and overnight arrangements near the commemorative area are part of ensuring smooth access to the service.
Seasonal & Climate Notes: This tour operates in April, when daytime temperatures are generally mild, but mornings and evenings can be cool. Weather conditions may vary, so packing layers is recommended.
Packing: Pack lightweight clothing for daytime sightseeing, warm layers for early mornings and evenings, and sturdy walking shoes suitable for uneven ground at historic and memorial sites. Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) is recommended. When visiting mosques, modest attire covering shoulders and knees is required.
Solo Travellers: Solo travellers can choose to upgrade to a private room or share accommodation with a fellow traveller of the same gender at no additional cost (subject to availability).
