Horton Plains

High in Sri Lanka’s central highlands, Horton Plains opens out into a landscape unlike anywhere else on the island, a windswept plateau of grassland, cloud forest, and dramatic escarpments. Set at high elevation and protected as a national park, it forms part of the UNESCO-listed Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, a region known for its exceptional biodiversity and rare montane ecosystem.
