Other things to know before you go

Visa Requirements: Most travellers need an e-visa to enter Egypt and may also require a visa for Jordan, depending on nationality. Be certain to apply for and obtain any required visas before your tour starts.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is required for this tour and must cover your entire journey through both Egypt and Jordan. Your Tour Leader will ask for your insurance details on Day 1.

Included Costs: Meals include all breakfasts and several lunches/dinners; many entrance fees and optional activities are not included.

Land-Based Travel & Logistics: This tour is entirely land-based, with no felucca or river sailing included. You’ll travel by coach and include domestic flights between key destinations in Egypt to reduce long road transfers. Crossings between Egypt and Jordan are by scheduled ferry (Nuweiba to Aqaba); ferry schedules are subject to weather and local conditions, and delays can occur.

Optional Activities: Opportunities for extras include a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over Luxor, desert jeep or camel safaris in Wadi Rum, snorkeling/diving in the Red Sea, and Petra by Night. Plan ahead which experiences you want to include, as they are available at extra cost and some may require advance booking.

Packing: Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days and layers for cooler evenings, comfortable walking shoes, and swimwear for Red Sea or pool stops. When visiting religious and cultural sites, choose modest clothing to cover shoulders, knees, and chest; bring a scarf to cover your hair for mosque visits.

Solo Travellers: Solo travellers can choose to upgrade to a private room, or share accommodation with a fellow traveller of the same gender at no additional cost.
